Average Moment Consideration for FEM analysis in STAAD.Pro V8i

While doing the foundation design in STAAD. pro through FEM analysis, it was found that if the Load applied for the Horizontal Equipment is concentrated through pedestals modeled as concrete beams, the resultant maximum moment is nearer to the concentrated load instead of the face of pedestal.

Also please find below snaps for better understanding.

1) Vertical Load of Horizontal Equipment

2) Thermal Load on Equipment in X direction

3) Thermal Load on Equipment in Z direction

Average Moment considered for Bending Along Y direction of Plates

Though the bending moment along that axis should be at the face of pedestal, but here the averaging of moment is considered about both sides of the pedestals as it contributes larger moment.
Kindly suggest if this procedure is correct for the design if the load acts as concentrated through the pedestal.
