I understand that in the Soil Bearing Design, the Max and Min cases could be pulled from different load combinations, but when looking at a single load combination, why are there max/min soil bearing pressure plans and why do they give different results? Note that the images below are for an ASCE 41 analysis (hence the high values) and have an allowable bearing pressure of 9200 psf.
